Letter from SW

Below is a link that will take you to the Southwestern Company letter sent to me as their first response to this site. Their additional response to this site has been to put up numerous other sites of their own to flood the web with as much positive information as possible and in an attempt to drown out my voice and the voices of others, all of which if heard could serve to balance the media playing field. As it is, they continue to be exceedingly successful in their media blitz.

My purpose in publishing this site is to insure that parents and students have access to all information in order to make a well informed decision prior to exposing themselves to the "Southwestern Experience". The type of information published here was not readily available to my parents and me prior to my going that summer of 2005. This site is not intended to provide Southwestern Company a forum to submit its threatening rebuttal or tirade to the information contained here. However, while the information published on this site is truthful to the best of my knowledge, I am not a lawyer and until my attorney advises me otherwise, the best possible good-faith response to the Southwestern Company's threats at this time is to publish their concerns with the site, despite the fact that to do so is extremely distasteful to me. So distasteful is this situation because after I have sacrificed so many things to make them money, that it just wasn't enough that I lost thousands of dollars and other things that summer, that now they have to threaten to crush me financially one last time by the threat of a lawsuit and the associated cost to hire attorneys just to continue what I consider to be a public service.

This site's purpose has already experienced the negative effects of the publication of Southwestern Company's letter. In particular the two parental testimonies from my mom and dad that were to have been written for me to publish on this site they have chosen to withhold for fear of being sued by The Southwestern Company as well. For those students and parents that might have similar fears if you were to offer your experiences for publication, please see my promise of anonymity to you on the Testimonials page of this site.
